Make Your Expertise Easier to Refer
A four-week live cohort with M. Shannon Hernandez and Catherine Brown
You can be well connected, respected for your work, and surrounded by people who genuinely want to support you, yet still receive referrals that are vague, inconsistent, or connected to an earlier version of what you do.
The problem is not always the strength of the relationship.
Often, people simply do not have a clear enough picture of what you want to be referred for now, what should make them think of you, or how to explain why an introduction would be valuable.
Â
Make Your Expertise Easier to Refer is a four-week working cohort designed to help you change that.
JOIN THE WAITLISTTogether, we will help you clarify the work and opportunities you want your relationships to support, then translate that direction into language other people can understand, remember, and use.
You will look closely at the moments that should make someone think of you.Â
- What is happening in the buyer’s business, work, or life?Â
- What transition are they navigating?Â
- What might they say to a trusted colleague before they realize they need someone like you?
From there, you will develop referral-ready language and a clear resource you can share with the people in your world, so they are not left trying to interpret your work or write the introduction themselves.
What we will work on:
Across four weekly sessions, you will clarify:
- the work and opportunities you most want to be known and referred for
- the people and situations that are the strongest fit
- the transitions and conversational cues that should make someone think of you
- language others can confidently understand, remember, and repeat
- a referral resource that reflects the work you are building now
This 4-week cohort includes:
- Â live teaching,Â
- structured implementation,Â
- messaging feedback co-working, andÂ
- focused work between sessions.Â
You will not learn how referrals work; you will develop the language and tools that help people refer you more accurately.
