A Vision for Radical Generosity in the Business World

Do you remember a time when someone was generous to you in an unexpected way? Maybe it was a teacher who allowed for extra credit to boost your low grade right when you needed it. Maybe someone “paid it forward” in the Starbucks line.

Maybe you were the generous one, able to give financially to struggling friends or family with no expectation of repayment. Or your generosity might not be about money at all: Perhaps you chose to give a colleague the benefit of the doubt when you could have been offended.

There are so many ways to be generous with our time, money, knowledge, resources, skills…the list could be more specific and go on and on.

I would be beyond thrilled for The Good Humans Growth Network to be known for Radical Generosity.

The Message’s paraphrase of the Bible describes this Radical Generosity in Proverbs 3:27-29. It reads-

Never walk away from someone who deserves help;

    your hand is God’s hand for that person.

Don’t tell your neighbor “Maybe some other time”

    or “Try me tomorrow”

    when the money’s right there in your pocket.

Don’t figure ways of taking advantage of your neighbor

    when he’s sitting there trusting and unsuspecting.

No usury. No manipulation. No stinginess.

Join The Good Humans Growth Network™ to share the life experiences and resources that help us grow in a business world where generosity in thought and deed seems so rare.
